The USPGA-sized 18-hole championship golf course poses a delightful challenge to every golfer

Whether you tee off on an early summer morning, at midday in January, or on a late spring afternoon, the sun is guaranteed. Even in the warm summer temperatures. El Gouna benefits from the dry, desert climate that keeps the humidity low. And there is always a sea breeze to keep you cool on the course.

Gene Bates, associate of Fred Couples, designed the El Gouna course to be accessible to every level of golfer, from the tourist who wants to learn the game, to the advanced golfers playing in a Pro Am tournament.

By having five different tees and a careful placement of bunkers, lagoons, and desert rough, the course plays well to every level of golfer. The winds, predominately from the North, make certain holes that look straightforward a challenge for every golfers.
