Mövenpick Jolie Ville Golf Resort Sharm El Sheikh
Architect: Arthur Davis
The course is a parkland, of Floridien
style which claims precision and tenacity: water is present on 14 holes, in
particular the n°12, one by 4 of 406 m. 2 desert zones lead to a hazardous
green, protected by a lake which is very attracting for the soft or vague
balls. 18 Holes, Par 72, 6585
Yards, 5 Tees, 74 rating

|
Hole # 1 Par 4, 370 meters, Hcp 2 The
preferred approach favors the left side on this down hill dogleg. Often into the
wind, club up for extra distance. |
|
Hole #
2 Par 3, 186
meters, Hcp 14 Attacking any left side pin position will require a masterful
shot. The left side approach to this green has a cross wind and right side
severe down slope. The most beautiful view of the course and mountains is from
the mound behind the green. |
|
Hole #
3 Par 4, 364
meters, Hcp 4 "A hole with length and distinction". Tee shot must avoid trap
to the left. Of course best shot is middle, then
middle. |
|
Hole #
4 Par 5, 518
meters, Hcp 16 Long and into
the wind. Length is rewarded here but beware of the waste bunker guarding across
the approach. |
|
Hole #
5 Par 4, 302
meters, Hcp 10 Avoiding the strategically positioned desert area left, is key
to good scoring. The fairway's right side opens the green for a lofted
club. |
|
Hole #
6 Par 5, 473
meters, Hcp 12 Confidence on your second shot is paramount to wether you can
"cut the corner" and go to the green in two. Lake guards the entire right side
off from the tee to the green. |
|
Hole #
7 Par 3, 139
meters, Hcp 18 A beautiful Par 3 guarded by deep pot bunker. A high soft and
short iron is rewarded by this narrow, backsloping green. Green runs down away
from tee. |
|
Hole #
8 Par 4, 335
meters, Hcp 6 A strong tee shot takes the lakes out of play. Spectacular
mounding around the green defines the hole's
strategy. |
|
Hole #
9 Par 4, 330
meters, Hcp 8 A bold tees hot over the cross-bunkers shortens the hole. Left
side is deceptive as the fairway slopes to the lake. Stay right, then
right. |
|
Hole #
10 Par 5, 526
meters, Hcp 5 High bunker mounding on the left of the tee, right edge opens
fairway for second long wood. Not reachable on a windy day. Play for placement
to this long uphill green. |
|
Hole #
11 Par 3, 171
meters, Hcp 7 Club selection is crucial as short shots missed find difficult
recoveries from the front bunker. |
|
Hole #
12 Par 4, 405
meters, Hcp 1 405 meters with water influencing the approach shot. Egypt's
finest Par 4. A par here is as good as a birdie anywhere
else! |
|
Hole #
13 Par 5, 477
meters, Hcp 17 Slight dogleg right. Protected off the tee by water. Left
side, then left side again could be your birdie
opportunity. |
|
Hole #
14 Par 3, 184
meters, Hcp 9 Wind and water can be a significant influence on this long Par
3, left green is safe. |
|
Hole #
15 Par 4, 325
meters, Hcp 11 Aggressive tee shot brings good scoring opportunity. Stay left
to take the water out of play. |
|
Hole #
16 Par 4, 304
meters, Hcp 15 Heroic drive here makes eagle possible. Beware! A long drive
can take you through the fairway, to the water
beyond. |
|
Hole #
17 Par 3, 173
meters, Hcp 13 A draw from the tee is ideal to avoid out of bounds right and
the "right to left wind". |
|
Hole #
18 Par 5, 438
meters, Hcp 3 Water to the left strongly influences this finishing hole.
Right side bunker shortens and make the water protected green a superb
challenge. "Last chance for romance". Go for the green in two and be
rewarded. |
